One of the main sources of wealth in our country is the Tourism industry, representing an important percentage of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (over 10%), generating employment and using a large amount of energy resources.
Hotels, conceived and designed to be temporary accommodation, should offer their guests certain comfort standards to make their stay more pleasant and attractive. Therefore, for hotel design projects, planners shall aim to achieve the basic objectives of visual acoustic and thermal comfort, accesses to the building, etc. All this must be achieved without compromising safety, guaranteeing the use of safe materials, escape routes and fire-protection systems.
